What You’ll Need For This Recipe

There are just a handful of ingredients needed in this turkey cranberry sliders recipe. Each ingredient adds its own delicious touch to these sliders, here are the main things you’ll need:

  • Turkey: I am a big fan of leftovers so I often prepare our favorite Turkey Recipe along with a turkey breast for Thanksgiving. Try my Crockpot Turkey Breast, Air Fryer Turkey Breast or this Roast Turkey Breast. Deli turkey can be used in a pinch if you don’t have leftovers.
  • Cranberry Sauce: Millions of people enjoy my cranberry sauce recipe every year and it is the perfect sweet-tart complement to the the turkey in these sliders. It’s a great make-ahead dish! Or, you can try my Crockpot Cranberry Sauce.
  • Stuffing: We usually have cornbread stuffing and that works great in this recipe. This sausage stuffing would also be delicious! Feel free to use store bought stuffing if you don’t have leftovers.
  • Rolls: Hawaiian rolls are the classic choice for this recipe but feel free to use my Dinner Rolls, Parker House Rolls or Pumpkin Dinner Rolls instead!
  • Cheese: We love provolone in this recipe but Swiss is also delicious. Use your favorite or leave out if you prefer.

How To Make Turkey Sliders

These sliders come together in minutes, making them perfect for busy days or last-minute gatherings. We also love serving them on game day – so good! Can’t beat Thanksgiving leftovers in a yummy slider!

Let’s take a quick look at how to make this recipe and as always, you can find the full printable recipe card at the end of this post.

  1. Combine butter, parsley flakes, onion flakes, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Slice the package of rolls in half and place the bottom half in the casserole dish.
  4. Spread the stuffing onto the rolls.
  5. Top with a layer of turkey.
  6. Followed by the cranberry sauce making sure to spread evenly.
  7. And finally, a layer of cheese.
  8. Spread the mayonnaise on the top half of the rolls and place.
  9. Brush the butter mixture over the top of the rolls.
  10. Bake covered at 350°F for 10 minutes, remove foil, and then bake another 5 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Storage Information

These sliders are best enjoyed fresh from the oven, but leftovers store well!

  • Refrigerator: Turkey Sliders should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
  • Make Ahead: Assemble 4 to 6 hours before you’re ready to bake, and store them covered in the refrigerator until ready to bake and serve.
  • Reheating: To reheat, microwave single servings or wrap tightly in foil and place in the oven. For larger servings, place in an oven-safe dish and loosely cover with aluminum foil. Heat in the oven at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes, or until thoroughly reheated.

No Leftovers? No Problem!

Craving these sliders but don’t have any leftovers? No worries! Here’s how to cheat the system:

  • Turkey: Our favorite Turkey Recipe is always our first choice. Deli turkey can be used in a pinch if you don’t have leftovers. But, you’re going to miss the thick slices. If you have a Costco membership, they sell turkey breasts that we buy all the time instead of lunch meat. That turkey is perfect for these sliders.
  • Cranberry Sauce: You can buy jellied cranberry sauce if you don’t have the five minutes it takes to make my cranberry sauce recipe 😉
  • Stuffing: Preparing our cornbread stuffing or sausage stuffing is not too terribly time consuming but you can always grab a box mix at the store if you’re looking to save time.

Variations To Try

These Turkey Hawaiian Roll Sliders are easily customizable depending on what you have on hand:

  • Try Swiss, cheddar, or mozzarella cheese for a different flavor in these sliders.
  • Spread a thin layer of turkey gravy for extra moisture and richness.
  • Substitute rotisserie chicken if you don’t have leftover turkey.
  • Mix the cranberry sauce with Dijon mustard for a tangy twist.
  • Try cornbread stuffing or sausage stuffing for even more flavor.
  • Consider swapping in this Cranberry Orange Relish for the cranberry sauce – yum!

I don’t like cranberry sauce. Would these still be good if I leave it off?

Yes, they would still be really good. Another option might be grape jelly or even a light layer of thick brown gravy. But if you want to just omit it, they will still be good and flavorful.

Is deli turkey or fresh turkey better to use?

Either deli turkey or fresh turkey will work for this. It comes down to personal preference and whether or not you have leftovers you want to use up.

Will these sliders be soggy?

No, they should not be soggy. Buttery, yes, but not soggy. If you are super worried about them becoming soggy, you can gently toast the rolls before adding the fillings and baking. But it is not necessary to do it.

Can these be put together ahead of time?

Yes, you can assemble them 4-6 hours before you’re ready to bake, and store them covered in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

Can I make this for a crowd?

Absolutely! These are a holiday staple in our house. Simply double or triple the recipe as needed.

Trish’s Tips

  • I find these bake up best when the ingredients are warmed or at room temperature.
  • Check to make sure that all ingredients are heated through before removing foil. They may require a little extra time if cold when assembling the sliders.
  • Add a layer of mashed potatoes for a seriously delicious slider.
  • Serve with a side of turkey gravy for a fun twist!
  • Not a fan of Hawaiian rolls? These are sooo good with my dinner rolls!
