How To Make Halloween Punch for Kids… Or Adults!

This punch comes together in no time. It’s just as simple as pouring the ingredients into a punch bowl or pitcher and stirring.

  1. Mix the juices and ginger ale together in a large punch bowl. If you’re adding alcohol, now is the time to do so.
  2. Add the frozen cherries and stir.
  3. Serve with ice and any decorations you may have for your spooky punch!

Keep in mind that depending on the size of your punch bowl, you may need to double this recipe to fill it up.

Storage Information

After the punch has been mixed I would store it in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.  If ice has been added it will dilute the juice, naturally.

Using Dry Ice

You can either add dry ice directly to the punch bowl to create a fog above the bowl or add it individually to glasses. Be careful not to touch it! This article has all the information you need for the safe handling of dry ice.

Halloween Punch FAQs

Can I make this ahead of time?

You definitely can but I wouldn’t add the ice until ready to serve because it will dilute the flavors. Honestly, since you are just dumping ingredients into a punch bowl (or pitcher) and stirring, this recipe can easily be prepared at the last second.

What can I use instead of Ginger Ale?

So many options here! Any lemon lime soda will work, fizzy water or club soda.

What other flavors could I try?

Pomegranate and cherry go together perfectly and their deep red colors make them perfect for a a Halloween Punch but you could absolutely substitute some other favorite flavors. I think grape juice would be delicious in this recipe and could definitely replace the cherry juice. Keep in mind that the pomegranate is definitely a nice tart component to this punch and if you start adding in a bunch of really sweet juices, you’ll end up with a very sweet punch – which is totally fine if that’s what you’re going for.

Can this recipe be doubled?

It can but you are likely going to be limited by the size of your punch bowl or pitcher.

Can I make this into an adult only punch?

Easily! Add your favorite liquor such as vodka, rum or tequila. I’d start with a cup and go from there.
