Equally refreshing summer drinks we love: Mai Tai Recipe, Watermelon Lemonade and this Dirty Shirley Temple.

White Sangria Recipe

There is nothing better than a white sangria to cool off during the hot summer months and this peach version is spectacular! I prefer white sangria over red sangria, particularly in the hotter months of the year, because they are so light, refreshing with the perfect amount of sweetness.

This Peach Sangria is made with white wine and you can use favorite here although I recommend a Pinot Grigio, Riesling or my favorite – Moscato.

What Is Sangria?

Sangria is chilled cocktail that contains wine, fruit, fruit juice and other alcohol, depending on the recipe. A sangria can be made with either red or white wine and are referred to as “Red Sangria” or “White Sangria”. Sangria recipes originated in Spain and Portugal. What I love is that the fruit options are endless and can add amazing flavor to any sangria recipe.

Peach Sangria Ingredients

This simple white sangria recipe calls for just a handful of ingredients. It’s a super versatile fruity cocktail that will become a go-to all summer long. As always, scroll down to the end of the post for a printable recipe card. Let’s take a look at what you’ll need:

  • peaches – thinly sliced. White or yellow peaches work equally well in this recipe. You do not need to peel the peaches.
  • white wine – you’ll need one bottle for this sangria recipe. I recommend using a Pinot Grigio or a Riesling for this white sangria, or if you’re like me and have a sweet tooth, consider using your favorite Moscato.
  • peach juice – fresh is best but you can also find peach juice in the juice aisle.
  • peach schnapps or peach whiskey – or any other peach flavored alcohol. Another option is to use plain alcohol like vodka fo less peach flavor.
  • sparkling water or seltzer water – adds a nice little fizz to the sangria. Club soda and ginger ale can also be used.

To Garnish

  • fresh mint – I like to add some to the pitcher and to each glass.
  • peaches – I add a few slices to each glass before pouring the sangria.

Consider trying a vanilla flavored or fruit flavored alcohol in place of the peach schnapps for a lovely flavor combination. Or just stick with peach – it’s amazing!

Peach Sangria FAQs

What type of white wine should I use?

I recommend using a Pinot Grigio or a Riesling. If you like your drinks on the sweeter side, you can get away with using a Moscato.

I can’t find peach whiskey, what else can I use?

I buy Peach Schnapps at my local Target and it’s readily available online as well. You can also use plain or vanilla vodka.

What can I use instead of sparkling water?

The options are really endless and truly depends on the flavor profile you want. You can finish this sangria recipe off with Prosecco, club soda, ginger ale – even actual soda like Sprite or 7-up.

Can I use frozen peaches in this recipe?

You sure can! That’s a great option for when you’re craving this sangria during the winter months. Frozen peaches will chill the sangria faster and can be used instead of ice for a fuller, richer flavor.

Trish’s Tips and Tricks

  • I used yellow peaches but a white peach sangria is especially elegant and I love the flavor! Perfect for brunch!
  • Add more fruit! Try adding apples, grapes, plums, strawberries or pineapples to this white sangria recipe.
  • Don’t add the sparkling water or club soda until ready to serve or it will go flat. Alternatively, you can add the sparkling water or club soda to each glass as it’s being served. Simply fill the glass with ice, peach slices and pour in the sangria until about two-thirds full. Top off with the sparkling water or club soda and garnish with mint.
