Garlic Bread in Air Fryer

Garlic bread is one of those side dishes that just seems to go with everything. Grilling up some chicken? Make up some garlic bread. Pasta night? That’s gonna need some garlic bread. Making up a pot of soup? How about some garlic bread?

Most nights that I make garlic bread, it tends to be the star of the meal with everyone fighting over the last piece. Making garlic bread in the air fryer makes quick work of this easy side dish and it’s a total crowd pleaser. It’s perfectly crispy on the edges with a soft center and tons of garlic butter for the most amazing flavor.

What To Serve With Air Fryer Garlic Bread

There is no wrong way to serve this easy side dish but here are a few of our very favorite recipes that we enjoy with this tasty bread:

  1. Stuffed Shells
  2. Chicken Alfredo Bake
  3. Lazy Day Lasagna
  4. Gumbo
  5. Zuppa Toscana
  6. Crockpot Chili

What You’ll Need

The best garlic bread starts with amazing garlic butter. It takes just a handful of ingredients to really make the garlic bread shine – literally and figuratively. Let’s take a look at what you’ll need and, as always, you can find the full printable recipe in the recipe card at the end of this post.

5 SECRETS TO GETTING DINNER ON THE TABLE...FAST!

  • salted butter – you’ll want the butter nice softened at room temperature so it’s easier to incorporate the rest of the garlic butter ingredients.
  • garlic – go fresh with one or two cloves of minced garlic or use ½ to one teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • Parmesan cheese – I think freshly grated gives the best flavor but use what you have on hand.
  • parsley – one teaspoon dried parsley or one tablespoon fresh parsley works perfectly in this recipe.
  • French baguette – or sourdough if you love that.

Garnish

  • finely chopped fresh parsley

How To Make Garlic Bread in Air Fryer

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350°F.
  2. Mix together butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese and parsley.
  3. Cut the baguette in half and then in half again lengthwise.
  4. Spread garlic butter on each half and then cut each half into two for a total of 8 pieces.
  5. Cook 5 to 7 minutes or until the desired crispiness has been reached. Repeat with the remaining half baguette.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Cheesy Garlic Bread

Feeling cheesy? Mozzarella cheese is an amazing and tasty addition to this recipe. Add shredded mozzarella to the top of the garlic bread slices when there is about one minute left of cooking time in the air fryer.

Storage Information

Refrigerator: Leftover garlic bread can be store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Freezer: Let garlic bread cool, then transfer to a freezer-safe, airtight container. Good for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge or on the counter before reheating in the air fryer, oven or microwave.

Trish’s Tips and Tricks

Check out my best tips for the ultimate air fryer garlic bread:

  • Be sure to slice your baguette halves to the same thickness so that the bread all toasts evenly.
  • If you like a really garlicky garlic bread you may want to add another clove of garlic. If you don’t like fresh garlic you can substitute garlic powder to taste.
  • The Parmesan adds some extra flavor to this bread but feel free to skip it if you prefer.
  • Remove garlic bread from the air fryer right when cooking is complete to avoid it overcooking and getting hard. If you want to serve the entire baguette at once, wrap the cooked garlic bread in foil and place it in a 200 degree oven or toaster oven until the second batch is ready.
  • Leftover garlic bread can be reheated for 30 seconds in the microwave or air fryer but it really is best eaten fresh.

All air fryers cook differently. I used the Cosori Air fryer for this recipe. You may have to adjust time and temperature if you have a different model.
