Does anyone else remember the KFC Buffets?? I remember going to the KFC buffet during high school and it was like heaven. My mom would take me there after a volleyball game or maybe a track meet and I would eat ridiculous amounts of food. Now that I think about it, I wonder if I was the reason they stopped the buffet??

Food for thought…

I think this is about the time that my love affair with their coleslaw began. It’s completely ruined me for all other coleslaw. Oh, I’ve tried other coleslaw – of course! But it just isn’t the same. So sweet and a little bit tangy – coleslaw perfection!

5 SECRETS TO GETTING DINNER ON THE TABLE...FAST!

I’ve been known to eat the entire family meal coleslaw by myself. Hands off people! No shame here. None. Now of course I can’t always make it over to KFC and making it at home is the next best thing. It’s easy too! Now I’m going to tell you the coleslaw secret: You have to let it chill for at least 2 hours. The longer the better. This stuff just gets better by the day.

This coleslaw is the perfect side dish for almost any sandwich and is amazing with pulled pork. I made this coleslaw to accompany our Spicy Pulled Pork Popper Sandwiches and it was divine!

When you first combine the ingredients you’re going to start doubting me. Don’t. It’s going to look a lot “dryer” thank KFC coleslaw at first. Let it chill and then you’ll see. Trust me.

I like to consider myself a coleslaw connoisseur, I tend to always get a side of coleslaw if a restaurant offers it and see what I think. I do, actually, really enjoy KFCs coleslaw, I will have to give this recipe a try. I absolutely LOVE the pulled pork popper, that just looks off the chart delicious!

    Happy Blogging!

When I was in High School (Gosh, a LOOOONG time ago!), I would go to KFC and always order biscuits and coleslaw. I loved eating both of those things together…who needs the chicken! lol

We owned a KFC for many years….there is NO mayonnaise in it, rather Miracle whip!!! It also does not include any buttermilk! Sorry!

I’m a big time KFC coleslaw fan. I love the sweetness of it! Don’t get me wrong, I’ll eat coleslaw from other places, but KFC’s is by far my favorite. And like other’s have mentioned, I’ve also been guilty of going to KFC strictly for their sides, not their chicken. Lisa, I can believe Miracle Whip is the product used for the sweet flavor rather than mayo. I’ve preferred Miracle Whip on my sandwiches and in my potato salads since childhood. No mayo for, but I’m most definitely trying this recipe. Trish, I chose your recipe over the other “copycat” recipes because of the look of your coleslaw (beautiful photos and looks like what I am used to getting at KFC) and there aren’t large chunks of foods that I know aren’t in KFC’s slaw, onions, green onions, celery, grapes, etc. While I like to eat these things, I’m simply looking for what I get at the restaurant. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us! Can’t wait to give this a try.

I have been going to KFC just for their sides too. Coleslaw & potato wedges both in large size. I just have to remember to ask first for my senior discount. This coleslaw is something I will have to try. However my favorite coleslaw of all time was at the old ( now telling my age) L & K restaurants which closed down many, many years ago. Have searched internet for information on the recipe but have never found out how they made such a creamy sauce. Used to go out late at night just for their bowl of coleslaw and some French fries. Believe me it was the best coleslaw ever made.
