S’mores Martini Recipe
This S’mores Martini is my favorite dessert cocktail when I’m in the mood for something rich, indulgent, and a little nostalgic. It perfectly captures the flavors of ooey gooey s’mores with smooth chocolate, sweet marshmallow, and crunchy graham crackers – but in a creamy, boozy form.
Despite its decadence, this cocktail is surprisingly easy to make. A chocolate and graham cracker-rimmed glass gives it that extra special touch, and a toasted marshmallow garnish takes it over the top. Whether I’m sipping one at home, dreaming of camping under the stars, or serving it at a party with friends, this drink is always a hit!
A kitchen torch makes quick work of those marshmallows! I use mine for all sorts of recipes but in the summer… it’s on toasted marshmallows duty!

- Roll the rim of the glass in the chocolate syrup and then in the crushed graham cracker. Place in freezer until ready to serve.
- Add ice to a cocktail shaker, filling it about ⅓ of the way. Add the vodka.
- Pour in the chocolate liquor into the cocktail shaker.
- Place lid on the shaker and shake well.
- Place 1-2 marshmallows onto a cocktail skewer and toast with broiler, grill or kitchen torch.
- Pour your drink and garnish with toasted marshmallows. Enjoy!

To get the graham cracker crumbs to stick well, make sure to coat the rim of your glass generously with chocolate syrup. Let it sit for a minute before dipping into the crumbs – this helps everything stick better.
Storage Information
Refrigerator: This S’mores Martini is best enjoyed fresh, but if you need to prep ahead of time, you can mix the vodka and chocolate liqueur and store it in the fridge for up to a day. When ready to serve, shake the cocktail with ice and pour it into a freshly coated glass followed by the marshmallow garnish.
Variations to Try
- Melt chocolate chips or a chocolate bar to dip the glass in instead of chocolate syrup.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup inside the glass to create a design inside the glass.
- Melt a few marshmallows and shake them into the cocktail, or use them to rim the glass instead of chocolate syrup.
- A half ounce of heavy cream can be added to the drink for extra creaminess.
- Toasted marshmallow syrup adds even more marshmallow flavor.
- A shot of espresso can turn the drink into a s’mores espresso martini.

Can the vodka be substituted?
Pinnacle whipped vodka is pretty easy to come by, marshmallow can be a tad harder. But if you can’t find either one, vanilla vodka can be a substitute. You can even make your own marshmallow vodka by letting marshmallows sit in a bottle of vodka for a few days. You can use the vanilla vodka and add a teaspoon of toasted marshmallow syrup to give it that marshmallow flavor.
What are other garnish options?
Mini marshmallows, a piece of Hershey’s chocolate, or even a graham cracker to dip into the drink would be tasty.
Can I make this without alcohol?
Yes! For a non-alcoholic version, swap the vodka for milk or heavy cream and use chocolate syrup instead of chocolate liqueur. It won’t have the same kick, but it’ll still be a delicious, s’mores-inspired treat!
Trish’s Tips
- To make a large batch of 8 cocktails, combine 2 cups chocolate liqueur or Irish cream and 2 cups marshmallow or whipped cream vodka. Follow the same steps for rimming the glasses with chocolate and graham cracker crumbs on 8 glasses. Chill the pitcher and the glasses until serving time.
- Pop your rimmed glass in the freezer for a few minutes before pouring your cocktail. This keeps your drink extra cold and enhances the creamy texture.
- A rich, smooth chocolate liqueur or chocolate Irish cream makes all the difference in flavor. Use brands like Godiva or Baileys for the best results.
- A kitchen torch gives you the best control for toasting the marshmallows, but if you’re using a broiler, keep a close eye to avoid burning. You want golden brown, not charred!
