Chris has been going on and on about me making appetizers for when he’s watching football. He’s all like “It’s not just apple and pumpkin season…it’s football season too!” Wah, wah, wah.

Whatevs. So, I made him these Buffalo Wing Pretzel Sticks. I mean what screams football more than buffalo and pretzels?

These pretzels are super easy to make and will feed a crowd or several very hungry husbands. My blender blue cheese dressing is the ideal dip for these sticks. Just cut up some celery and maybe some carrots and you’re all set! If you really want to bring the heat, try these pretzels with this Buffalo Chicken Dip!

While these pretzels look innocent enough, they are definitely hot. Buffalo hot. If you really are into torture, as in you like it screamin’ hot, add in a teaspoon or two of cayenne. Course, you might not have any tastebuds left after that…

Could I use oil instead of butter?

Not sure about that Monica… I haven’t tried and it would definitely lose some of the “buffalo” flavor by removing the butter.

I’ve made these twice now and everyone loved them! The girls at work are asking when I’m going to bring them again. Thanks for the recipe 🙂

Made these today for a friend who loves everything hot. I used Frank’s Xtra Hot Sauce, and moved the pretzels from a jelly pan to two cookie sheets after the first 10 minutes (they seemed to be a little soggy). Turned out nice and crispy.

Turned out great – she’s telling everyone how great they are! And they were super easy to make, which is always a plus. Thanks for the recipe!

I just saw your feature on Love Grows Wild from Monday and had to check out this recipe. What a unique and tasty sounding way to spice up pretzels! This would be a perfect treat to serve at everyone’s upcoming super bowl parties….or anytime 🙂 Your other recipes in this post sound so interesting, too! I’d love if you’d be willing to link up a few of your delicious treats at my link party today. Have a great day!

These were terrible. They are soggy and you never get that cruch back of the unlisted pretzel.

I’m sorry your attempt didn’t turn out Laura. These pretzels are actually extremely crunchy 🙂

Mine were soggy also. I added 15 more minutes of baking time. Next time I will use a half stick of butter instead of a half cup.
