Summer is here and the boys and I are gradually adjusting to our new schedule. This past week was interesting…to say the least. The boys seem to think that since there is no school, that I’m going to make them a “weekend” breakfast every morning.

Not so my friends.

This mama has other things to do.

5 SECRETS TO GETTING DINNER ON THE TABLE...FAST!

Something else…their schedules are totally off. Nine o’clock rolls around and these kids are asking for popsicles.

Popsicles!! At 9 a.m.!

I decided to kill two birds with one stone. Blueberry Breakfast Parfait Pops. Popsicles for breakfast. Yep. That’s how I roll.

See, these popsicles aren’t just any old popsicles. They’re made with Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits (blueberry is my fave) and Yoplait Greek yogurt so they’re just packed with protein and other awesomeness for a great start to my morning. Oh yeah. And the kids.

Of course, my kids think I’m crazy cool that I’m allowing popsicles for breakfast and I KNOW I’m crazy cool because all of us are getting a great, nutritious start to our day.

Wow… I want one! Have to give these a try for the grand kids. Boy, I remember back in the day when mom would freeze kool-aid in some container and just stick popsicle sticks in (which never seemed to stand up straight!)..thing was, after you suck out the kool aid..it was a big ice cube! Then with my kids, I used the little popsicle molds and used orange juice with pulp in it (or any juice with pulp) and the ice cube thing didn’t happen. But boy now a days….these are pretty cool! found you on wonderfully creative linky!

Trish, you have just described every morning in our house for two weeks now!! I started doing the same thing, using Greek yogurt and adding other things and I don’t feel guilty giving it to them at 9am! Love this idea!

Trish! These look amazing!! Seriously delicious!! I can’t even imagine how excited my kids would be if I made these for breakfast! We use lots of Greek yogurt, and I love that these are full of protein and healthy carbs from the breakfast biscuits! So smart! Full, happy, fueled kiddos! 🙂

107 degrees??? Yeah … you totally need a popsicle in the afternoon!

What, no credit? These look even better than I pictured when we were talking about them. Not all yogurts freeze well, but it looks like this does. Good job!
