This cocktail is an elegant blend of white chocolate liqueur, vanilla vodka and heavy cream. Together they create a luxurious drink that’s perfect for your holiday parties. This recipe is wonderfully simple and quick to prepare and even better, has only three ingredients! Let’s take a quick look at what you’ll need and as always, you can find the full printable recipe card at the end of this post:

  • white chocolate liqueur – We used Godiva white chocolate liqueur to make this cocktail. It is a beautiful liqueur and popular choice amongst cocktail enthusiasts but any other brand will also work.
  • vanilla vodka – We used Smirnoff vanilla vodka. You can use plain vodka and add half a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the recipe if you don’t have a vanilla vodka on hand.
  • heavy cream – An important component of this cocktail. The high fat content lends itself to a super indulgent thick and creamy dessert-like cocktail.

Variations To Try

  • Add a splash of peppermint schnapps for a festive twist or serve with a candy cane hanging off the side.
  • Rim the glass with crushed candy cane or chocolate shavings – white chocolate shavings would be gorgeous!
  • Use coconut cream and a dairy-free white chocolate liqueur.

Trish’s Tips

  • For an extra cold snowflake martini, keep your glass in the freezer for an hour before serving.
  • Use high-quality liqueur and vodka for the best flavor.
  • Stir for a silky smooth texture or shake the martini for a frothy top.

Can I make this in a large batch?

Sure can! Simply multiply the ingredients based on the number of servings needed. The great thing about this martini recipe is that each of the three ingredients are used in equal amounts.

Shaken or stirred?

Your choice! Stir for a silky smooth texture or shake the martini for a frothy top.

Can this cocktail be made dairy free?

Sure! Use a dairy free white chocolate liqueur and replace the heavy cream with almond milk creamer or coconut cream.

What if I can’t find vanilla vodka?

No problem! You can also use plain vodka with a drop of vanilla extract as an alternative.

Can I make this in advance?

This Snowflake Martini is best served right away but you can combine the white chocolate liqueur with the vanilla vodka and add the heavy cream just before serving.

Notes

To make simple syrup:  Combine 1 cup of water and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat and bring just to a simmer stirring frequently to dissolve sugar. Once sugar has dissolved, remove from heat and let cool. (I pop it in the freezer to cool quickly.)
Storage Information: This cocktail is best served immediately and enjoyed ice cold as soon as it has been mixed.
Glassware: I’ve already received lots of requests for the glasses in the photos. These are very similar but not exactly what I used (those are vintage): https://amzn.to/3tgU8Kw
