Teriyaki Pineapple Turkey Burgers are so delicious that the whole family will love them!

Teriyaki Pineapple Turkey Burgers | MomOnTimeout.com

Saturday we took the boys to Discovery Kingdom for the day. We had an amazing time together! Reece and Bryce fed the sea lions and played until Reece was just tuckered out. Bryce is finally 42 inches so he was able to go on Cobra. We heard at least a couple dozen times about how big he was 🙂  The highlight of the day was feeding the Lorikeets. It is such an amazing experience! Bryce had no fear whatsoever but Reece was pretty hesitant to let a bird land on him. I had four Lorikeets on my head at one point – that was interesting 😉

When we got home, everyone was pretty exhausted so my husband agreed to stay back with the boys while I headed to Safeway to do some shopping. I gathered up my coupons, ad, shopping list and double-checked the new Safeway app that I downloaded to my phone last week. Ready to go! Safeway had an awesome promotion on Dole fruit and tropical fruit products so I stocked up. I also picked up the other ingredients I needed (plus a lot more!) for the Teriyaki Pineapple Turkey Burgers. You can check out my entire shopping trip (and all the great deals I got!) here.

Sunday we fired up the grill and I gathered the ingredients to make the Teriyaki Pineapple Turkey Burgers. They were super simple to make and just delicious!

Directions:

Drain pineapple; reserve 1/2 cup juice. Reserve 2 pineapple slices for snack or other use. Stir together teriyaki sauce and reserved pineapple juice in small bowl.

Mix together turkey, ginger, bread crumbs and 1/4 cup teriyaki mixture. Shape into 8 patties.

Grill patties, brushing with remaining teriyaki mixture, until brown and cooked through. Place pineapple slices on grill and cook until lightly golden brown.

Serve burgers on buns with cheese and pineapple.

Sounds great. I never think to use turkey other than a whole turkey… I need to do better about that.
