Easy Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream Topping

This easy homemade Strawberry Topping is the perfect way to jazz up your breakfast or dessert. With only four ingredients, it is a yummy accompaniment for ice cream, cheesecake, waffles, French toast, and so much more!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries stems removed, hulled, diced
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan.
  • Cook over medium low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep from bubbling over.
  • Let cool, transfer to an airtight container.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Serve over ice cream, waffles, French toast, or use to make strawberry milkshakes.
