Caramel Apple Tart
This easy Apple Tart recipe has all the rich fall flavor you’re looking for. A light, flaky, puff pastry crust covered in a honey cinnamon butter, and topped with apples, pecans, and sticky sweet caramel sauce… Are you drooling yet?! - 1 puff pastry sheet thaw according to package directions
- 2 large granny smith apples thinly sliced
- ½ cup salted butter softened
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon apple pie spice
- ½ cup pecans crushed
- 6 tablespoons caramel sauce
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Cut thawed puff pastry sheet into 6 equal parts.

In a bowl cream together butter, honey (or brown sugar), cinnamon, and apple pie spice.
½ cup salted butter, 2 tablespoons honey, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon apple pie spice
Spread a tablespoon of honey butter over each pastry puff. Add a layer of thin apple slices on top of the butter.
2 large granny smith apples
Bake for 30 minutes or until puff pastries are golden brown.
Remove pastry puff from oven. Sprinkle crushed pecans and drizzle caramel sauce over pastry puff. Dust tarts with powdered sugar and serve.

To keep apples from browning:
When using apples, I always slice or dice my apples first then soak in 1 to 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 2 cups of water for about 5 minutes. After soaking drain lemon water and rinse. This will keep apples from browning for 3 days.
