Ingredients

  • 16 ounce package refrigerated biscuits 8 count

Vanilla Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Remove the biscuits from the package and place them on a lightly floured surface. Use a small circle cookie cutter or donut cutter to cut the center out of the biscuits.
  • Place four biscuits in the air fryer (make sure they aren’t touching) and cook the biscuits at 365F for 6 to 7 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on the outside. Keep in mind-- they should be the color of doughnuts, not biscuits.
  • Remove the first set of doughnuts from the air fryer and place them on a wire rack to cool while you cook the remaining doughnuts.
  • If you’d like to cook the doughnut holes, place them in the air fryer at 365F for 3-4 minutes.
  • While the doughnuts cook, combine the powdered sugar, heavy cream and vanilla in a small bowl.
Allow the doughnuts to cool before dipping them in icing (otherwise they’ll melt the icing). Decorate with sprinkles, if desired. Serve immediately.
  • Store any leftover doughnuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 24 hours.

Notes

You can also decorate the top of the icing with cinnamon and sugar if you don’t want to use sprinkles.
Make sure to use heavy cream as milk can thin the icing too much.
To dye the icing, use a few drops of your favorite pink or red food coloring and stir to combine.
