Ingredients

  • 30 spears of asparagus about 1 bundle from the store
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 4 to 6 strips of bacon
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Air Fryer Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350 D degrees.
  • Rinse your asparagus well and break off the woody part of each of the asparagus spears.
  • Place asparagus in a large mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Add garlic powder, salt and pepper (to taste) and toss to combine.
  • Separate the asparagus spears into 4 to 6 even bundles. Wrap the bottom of each bundle of asparagus with a strip of bacon. You can use a half strip of bacon if you prefer.
  • Place the asparagus bundles in the air fryer and cook for 8 to 12 minutes depending on the size of your spears and bundles. Look for the bacon start to crisp up and the spears to become tender.
  • Remove the asparagus from the air fryer and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Return to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes or until bacon is cooked to your liking. Serve immediately.

Oven Roasted Instructions

  • First, preheat your oven to 400 F degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Rinse asparagus and break off the woody part of each of the asparagus spears. Place asparagus in a large mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Add garlic powder, salt and pepper (to taste) and toss to combine.
  • Separate the asparagus spears into 4 to 6 even bundles. Wrap each bundle of asparagus with a strip of bacon. You can use a half strip of bacon if you prefer.
  • Place the asparagus bundles on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes depending on the size of your spears and bundles. Look for the bacon start to crisp up and the spears to become tender.
  • Removed the asparagus from the oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 3 to 5 minutes or until bacon is cooked to your liking.
