Ingredients

  • 6 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 2 cups shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots can use up to 2 cups if you really like carrots

Coleslaw Dressing

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar white vinegar can be used in a pinch
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons white granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon celery seeds optional

Instructions

  • Shred cabbage and carrots.
  • Combine green cabbage, purple cabbage and carrots in a large bowl. Toss to combine.

Prepare Coleslaw Dressing

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, freshly ground black pepper and celery seeds (if using).
  • Pour the coleslaw dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until combined.
  • Cover and chill for 30 minutes to an hour before serving for best flavor. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
