Pineapple Margarita

This ultra refreshing Pineapple Margarita is a breeze to make and tastes amazing! Perfect for poolside parties and gatherings, Cinco de Mayo and casual get togethers. Make it blended or serve on the rocks - your choice!

Ingredients

Lime Margarita Salt

  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt can also use sugar if you like it sweet
  • 1 lime zested

Pineapple Margarita

  • ½ cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 3 ounces silver tequila
  • 3 ounces pineapple juice

Garnish (Optional)

  • lime wedges
  • pineapple wedges

Instructions

  • In a shallow bowl, combine the lime zest and kosher salt.
  • Rim the edge of a glass using a lime wedge and then dip the glass in the margarita salt. Set aside.
  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the pineapple chunks and lime wedge.
  • Add the lime juice, tequila, pineapple juice and ice to the shaker and shake for 30 seconds or so.
  • Pour or strain into salt rimmed glass with ice.
  • Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and pineapple wedge or however you like. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Canned pineapple can be used instead of fresh.
  • Turn this a blended frozen margarita by simply combining the ingredients in a blender and add about 1/4 to 1/2 cup ice to the blender for each serving. You can also use frozen pineapple and omit the ice.
