10 Tips for Keeping Clean and Germ-Free

Tips for Staying Healthy

I am thrilled to be a Wet Ones Ambassador!

I was recently selected be a Wet Ones Ambassador and I couldn’t be more excited! Wet Ones have been a part of our family’s efforts to stay germ-free since shortly after I had Reece.  Wet Ones® are an important part of how I keep my family clean and germ-free all year long but especially during the holiday season!  The absolute worst thing is having someone in the family sick during the holidays and with so many colds and the flu going around, I take extra care to keep my family clean and germ-free.

Wet Ones

As you know, this week we are headed to Disneyland and my sweet little boys are going to have so much fun!  They are also going to touch EVERY. SINGLE. SURFACE. they can get their little hands on!  Reece walks with his arms outstretched, running his fingers along every fence, rail, or wall he can touch.  I cringe every time I catch him doing that!  Of the millions of people that visit Disneyland, I’m pretty sure a few of them are sick :)  And then, of course, I catch him chewing on his fingernails or doing something else that puts his hands in his mouth or he rubs his eyes…..aaahhhh!

Wet Ones are how I combat the germs but they are also what keeps us clean.  For as long as I can remember I have had a canister of Wet Ones in my car, a travel pack of Wet Ones in my purse, and Wet Ones Singles in my stroller.  That’s just how I roll!  I can’t tell you how many times I have been saved by Wet Ones – whether it’s a cheeseburger gone wrong in the car…cotton candy at the fair…or Doritos all over the place at the park…Wet Ones help me take control of the situation and get clean!

Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes come in two scents, Fresh and Citrus Scent, and are available in three convenient forms at your local retailer:

  • 40 count canister
  • 15 count travel pack
  • 24 count box of individually wrapped single wipes

About Wet Ones:

When soap and water are not available, Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are an effective alternative to clean hands and prevent the spread of germs. Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are proven to be just as effective as gel hand sanitizers in killing 99.99 percent of germs, but they also clean better than hand sanitizer gels, wiping away dirt and messes without drying out skin like alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

Here are some tips for staying clean and germ-free this holiday season:

  1. Wipe down carts when shopping.
  2. Always wash hands before eating.
  3. Wash or wipe hands after blowing your nose.
  4. Play dates are fun but can also spread germs – clean up afterwards.
  5. Holiday parties involve a lot of hand shakes and hugs.  Wash your hands if you can or use Wet Ones.
  6. Clean up after visiting a doctor’s office or other public place.
  7. Arts and crafts will take over our house this next month.  Cleaning up is made easy with Wet Ones.
  8. My mother-in-law wipes down restaurant tables with Wet Ones before we eat.  Every time.
  9. Out for the day?  Periodic use of Wet Ones are perfect for keeping germs at bay. {That rhymes!}
  10. Coughing and sneezing should be closely followed by washing.
  11. Be smart!  Watch your kids and when you see them playing with or touching something with germs – pull them aside for a quick wipe down afterwards.

How do you keep your family clean and germ-free?

Comments

  1. Great tips! My children are all older now, but even teens and adults need to be germ-free.

  2. Oh, and we’ve always packed them in the car for quick clean up on road trips. Invaluable when our kids were small!

  3. Bonjour! I’m a stay at home mummy but also a registered nurse! I’m used to cut my nails short. When I’m back at home, I wash my hands. I never wear my shoes on at home ( I have a stash of slippers that I take from hotels so I give to my guests ). My toddler is two and a half yo and knows that he has to wash his hands before getting out the loo, before eating, before cooking, after sneezing etc… Thank you for sharing your tips ;)

  4. Does anyone know from experience how long wet ones singles can be stored and still work? I know what the manufacturer suggests, but I wonder if they’ll still be good beyond that. Thanks! :)
