Easy, Cheesy, Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches & Family Game Night

Every now and then we like to have Family Game Night at our house.  I wish we had the time to do this once a week because we always have a great time!  This weekend we had a Family Game Night and to make it extra special I served up some of my  kids favorite foods – Chicken Nuggets and French Fries!  I put a little spin on it though and made Easy, Cheesy, Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches with Chicken Nuggets.  The sandwich were so delicious and once I told the boys we were eating Chicken Nugget Sandwiches they were all for it!

Bryce and I headed to Walmart on Friday after dropping Reece off at school and going for our morning walk.  I picked up some Tyson Chicken Nuggets, Ore Ida Golden Crinkle Fries {because these are just more fun!} and some Heinz Ketchup for dipping.  Am I the only one with kids who think EVERYTHING needs to be dipped in ketchup???   We were able to use the coupon on the package of Golden Crinkles to get $2 off since we bought all three products.  We also checked out the games section to see if there were any new games we wanted to try out.  You can check out our entire shopping trip {HERE}.

Sunday was the big day and I pulled out all my ingredients for dinner…

Ingredients:
Tyson Chicken Nuggets
Mozzarella Cheese
Marinara or Pasta Sauce
Parmesan Cheese
French Rolls
Ore Ida French Fries
Heinz Ketchup

Directions:

Cook the Golden Crinkles an Chicken Nuggets according to the package instructions.

While those are cooking, take out the rolls and sprinkle some of the Parmesan cheese on the rolls.  Any Parmesan cheese will work – I happened to have some Shaved Parmigiano Reggiano cheese on hand. Throw those into the same oven and let the rolls toast for 3-5 minutes.

Once the Chicken Nuggets are cooked, place them on top of the rolls and sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese.

Spoon on 3-4 tablespoons of sauce.

And then cover with mozzarella cheese.  You can use shredded, fresh, or slices.  Whatever you have will work :)

Throw the sandwiches back into the oven and bake until the cheese is nice and melted {3-5 minutes} and get ready to enjoy!

For the kids’ plates I stacked the Golden Crinkles like Lincoln Logs because on Family Game Night – food is FUN too!  I squeezed the Heinz Ketchup into the center for dipping – the boys LOVED this!

Here’s their plates…

And here’s the grown-ups plates :)
Family Game Night is served!

Dinner was delicious and a big hit with the boys!  Can’t go wrong with chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner :)  They even ate their salad and carrots {with dip of course!}.
Next up was games!  Some of our very favorite family games are Hasbro games.  The boys love their Toy Story Memory Game but we wanted to play some new games this time.  The boys enjoyed playing Hungry Hippos while Chris opened up the new Battleship game.   Turns out, Reece LOVES Battleship!  He had the best time and it will certainly be on the rotation for future Family Game Nights!
