Creamsicle Float with Frozen Yogurt

Creamsicle Floats made with frozen yogurt are the perfect summer treat!

In case you missed it, National Creamsicle Day was August 14th. What? You didn’t even know that there was such a day? Well, I’m glad you’ve stopped by because I’m going to show you how easy it is to pull off a fabulous Creamsicle Celebration any day of the year. For those of you unfamiliar with the word “Creamsicle” it simply refers to a frozen dessert with a vanilla core and a fruit sherbet coating. Basically, it’s an amazing flavor combination and perfect for a hot summer day!

I loaded up the boys and headed over to Walmart to score some necessities for our celebration. First on my list – TCBY Orange & Vanilla Bars – the perfect way to celebrate National Creamsicle Day! I love that they only have 110 calories per serving and they are so delicious!

We cruised around Walmart picking up some other party necessities like orange soda, orange party supplies, oranges, {you get the idea} and then headed to check out. You can check out our entire shopping trip {HERE}. Looks like a party to me!

While the boys were resting {and by boys I mean my two little ones AND my husband}, I set up the table for our Creamsicle Celebration. I ran the orange tablecloth down the center of our white table creating the look of an inside out Creamsicle. I taped small orange paper plates to a tri-fold display board for a fun {and cheap!} backdrop. I set out the TCBY Orange & Vanilla Bars, the Orange Creamsicle Lollipops, crazy straws and set up a Creamsicle Float tasting station with three different orange sodas and TCBY Classic Vanilla Bean Frozen Yogurt.

As you might have guessed, the Orange & Vanilla Bars were a huge hit! So creamy and perfectly refreshing for a hot summer day…the boys could hardly wait to dive in and they wanted another one right after they were finished!

I’m sorry!  Am I making you hungry?  Here, you want a bite?  That delicious creamy center surrounded by that amazing orange layer…mmm I can taste it right now!

While the boys finished off their bars I made up some Creamsicle Floats.  We had a tasting station and tried several different orange sodas with TCBY Classic Vanilla Bean Frozen Yogurt.  The winner?  Fanta Orange!  A couple scoops of the frozen yogurt and top off with Fanta for a delicious Creamsicle Float!
