$25 Sam's Club Giveaway & February Gift Card Offer
We've been Sam's Club members for YEARS. I can't tell you how many items we have bought from there and just love. My living room sofa set was purchased there and just a few months ago we bought our "fireplace" and my new craft storage unit. It's not just the big ticket items that we buy from Sam's Club. We buy groceries, clothing (they have a fantastic selection of kids clothes and unbelieveble prices!), holiday items, tires - you name it!
Discover an Easy Way to Save on Baby Essentials at Sam’s Club®!
During the month of February, Sam's Club is having a special promotion where you can get a $10 Sam's Club Gift Card when you buy any two of the following baby items at Sam's Club:

Clothes can be a major cost breaker for a family budget, especially if you have young children. Children grow at such an immense and unpredictable rate, that you can feel as if you buy more clothes than food. When my daughter was was 1 year old she just fit perfectly into 12 month clothes (for about a WEEK! LOL). She literally jumped from 12 months to 24 Months in a few months and completely skipped 3T altogether! I felt like I had wasted so much money on clothes she never got to wear and also had to spend tons of money often to keep up with her. I reduced my expenses TREMENDOUSLY through the use of waste extenders and button extenders for pants. They literally allow your child to continue wearing clothes they have grown out of for so much longer. The great part is you can buy a couple extenders and they easily transfer daily to whatever clothes they wear! Cut the cost by extending the waist!!!
I use dried beans instead of canned ones. You get a lot more dried beans then canned and it only takes a little advanced planning to have them ready for meals.
Check out JC Penneys new pricing! You won't believe the amount of savings there is now for kids' clothes! And grown up clothes also! I bought 6 shirts and 2 pairs of pants and a cotton jacket for $ 107 yesterday! Woo Hooo!
i buy clothes for the winter for the kids after christmas- getting it on sale and a bigger size...and i shop wiht the bloggers online- with the sales and coupons tcogbill at live dot com
I always go grocery shopping in the evening so I can snag the discount donuts off of the bakery rack(usually 10-15 of all varieties for $1). We get semi-fresh donuts the next morning. As much as the wife complains about how unhealthy it is, the kids love them, and that is all I care about.
We always just order one kids meal when we go out... they hardly ever even finish that. It's just $5 ... but that's $5! You wouldn't throw out a $5 coupon.

One great way I save money is to get in connection with a few families where you can swap clothes when needed. For example when my youngest grows out of clothes I send them on the my ex's friend. Clothes in my house go down from oldest to youngest. I also get lots of great clothes from a friend o mine when her son grows out of them.
I save my walmart bags and use them as small trash bags for our bathroom trashcans, the small trash can i have next to the computer desk, and in the baby diaper champ.
Saving money - When grocery shopping I always eat a little something before I go. Prevents impulse buying. Thank you. barbara dot montyj at gmail dot com
Meal-planning saves us money because I'm buying exactly what we need and nothing goes to waste. I plan each week's meal based on what's on sale at our grocery store and use a coupon database to save time. I only need to clip the coupons I need from my inserts.
I like to buy whole milk and dilute it 2 parts milk/ 1 part water. We have to use goat's milk w/ our babies, and at over $3.50 a QUART, I can't afford not to!
I got a juicer for Christmas. Now we can juice veggies and greens that aren't quite crisp enough to enjoy in salads. We save them from the compost bin, still get all the nutrients, and save money by wasting less produce!
Before I purchase anything online...I always do a google search for coupon or promotion codes. I've saved loads with percentages off and free shipping codes! Thanks for a great giveaway.
We've been doing several things to save money.. Cloth Diapering when we are at home (we use disposables when we go out.. just a lot easier that way!) Make our own wipes with paper towel and a special solution (google homemade wipe solution) Following blogs that have freebies and awesome coupons Using retailmenot.com to get $ off of purchases.. I never buy online without checking this first!
Just one thing is planning & making dinners ahead of time. If I make chili I freeze 1/2 the batch and have dinner for another time. I try to do this with several dinners so I don't have to worry about what's for dinner.
I always make sure to take chilled (refillable) bottles of water and a snack for everyone when we're going to run errands....believe me, it will save you money and peace of mind! ;-D
I make homemade version of convenience foods...cheaper & healthier!
